Prezi Periodic Table Assignment

This assignment may be completed by a pair of students or by three students in a group.

Students will be expected to use Prezi to create an online presentation about elements from the periodic table. One of the elements of the assignment is to work collaboratively together, on the Prezi site, using the principle of simultaneous file sharing in the cloud.

Before Grade 7 students begin the assignment, you must have an active Prezi account on Prezi.com

Students will create a zooming slideshow on Prezi.com using the content about the periodic table of the elements.

Learning Goal: To collaborate in the cloud using online presentation software.

This means it is essential to work with a partner for this project. Your partner may be in another grade seven class at Winona.

Each presentation will include information about the first element on the table, Hydrogen. This will be provided in a class lesson by Mr. Winship and must be incorporated into the presentation. If you miss the class lesson, you must make it up by coming to one of the lunch-hour computer lab sessions. The lab is usually open Mondays and Wednesdays.

Each student will research elements and will include information about 5 elements. This means that for a group of two, there will be 1 required element (hydrogen) and 5 per person, for a total of 11 elements in the presentation.
