The Puppet

Assigned week of Feb 9

 

As discussed in class, create a simple puppet using wood and tools provided in class.

This is a Skill Builder Project
Make a puppet frame using the basic design outlined below. You will need at least four pieces of 1 cm X 1 cm wood (Jinx Wood) and one small dowel. Cut 2 pieces of Jinx wood 10 cm each and one 12 cm long. Connect these pieces using glue and paper fasteners. Use a fourth piece of wood as a lever arm, supported between the two vertical pieces of wood. Drill a hole for the dowel through the supports and the lever arm. Fix the dowel with glue, but allow the arm to pivot freely.
