This page will contain information about the Grade 7 and 8 assignments at Winona Public School. This information has also been given in class. Students should have this information from the assignments discussed. In an effort to reduce the amount of printed paper, students are asked to copy the pertinent information and to use the printed information in class. Students may refer to the web site if unsure.

Computer Programming Assignment This assignment may be completed by a pair of students or by one student as an individual. Create a game which uses variables to keep track of points. The game may be a target game, a quiz, or a story-based adventure in which the user gains points by navigating the game.

You will be expected to play the game and to share the game with others. Level 4 games will include the comment, in the script box, given to you about your game.

Students will also be expected to describe the logic behind at least one of their scripts. This will take the form of an an noted document explaining the steps to control the elements of the game.

There may be rewards built into the game that are given to the player, such as a bell, or light, or sound, to indicate a success in the game.

  • You may work alone, or with one partner
  • You must make one game per person or per group.
  • Each person in the group must submit one annotated explanation of a script in the game. The script you choose to describe must have 5 or more steps.
