Grade 7 and 8 Design and Technology Scratch Resources ... These instructions are for grade Seven and Eight students and must be followed before they begin the assignment. Start here (video-->turn your sound on) Getting started with Scratch - Part 1 2. The Monkey Challenge If you are doing this in class, the slideshow will be on display. You do not need to download the show. •Using only these 8 blocks, create a project in which something surprising happens to a monkey. Download the Powerpoint slideshow <download here> Read the slides until you get to the 8 Blocks challenge. Using the eight blocks, create a script in which something surprising happens to a monkey. When you have done this, close the Powerpoint and go to the next step.   3. Do this next Scratch Cards (pdf pages) These cards show simple programming examples that may be mastered quickly. This is an excellent way to start programming with Scratch. 4.
