Grade 8 : Students will have time to create animations. You may create an animation of a static scientific concept. Grade 8s will show how water behaves on a large scale on the Earth.

See the assignment page for details.

Examples of what you might animate are:

  • Tsunamis
  • Hurricanes
  • Icebergs
  • Erosion of lakes and rivers
  • Creation of Bays and Headlands

In a traditional textbook diagram, movement would be shown through the use of arrows and pictures. Guide the reader through the concept, using animation techniques learned in class.

Each animation must last 30 seconds.

You may work with one partner. A two-person animation must last 60 seconds.

You may produce the animation with personal software, but you must show me the source code or file. There may be also a number of online alternatives. The ones listed below have not been tested, but seem to be free and easy to use.
