New spelling words are given each Monday

For parents: the basic homework schedule for homeroom is as follows:

  • Monday- Spelling
  • Tuesday- Math
  • Wednesday- Writing
  • Thursday - math and spelling test study
  • Every evening should include at least a half hour of sustained reading.

This is a textbook research day. Grade 8s were expecting to show me an experiment today. They will do this on the next day I see them. Notebooks will also be marked the next day I see them.


Grade 8 work: Read and take jot notes for pages 112-117
Answer # 1-6 on p 116


Grade 7 work: Notes about fluids.
Start by copying key ideas and key skills on p 99
Read pages 100-106 (ignore p 104-105)

11:15 - 11:45 am

2:50 - 3:30 pm
Students will have time to complete their book jackets. They will also have quiet reading time after recess.
