We are studying plant cells and animal cells. The information
required is found in Unit 1 of our textbook, SciencePower 8. In
addition to this information, you may wish to read the pages linked
here. There is a wide variety of models for the animal and plant
cell; you should be able to recognise the features from each of
these styles. Two examples are shown below, both of animal cells.
As you can see, one is more detailed than the other, but both
show the elements of an animal cell.
You may use the more detailed diagrams as the model for your
diagram.
The due date for this will be posted on the calendar.
It is not enough to download these pictures and print them out
on your printer, despite what the advertisements would have you
believe. I will not be so distractedly impressed by your new colour
printer with vivid colours, that I'll forget you didn't do the
work.

You will be required, at the end of this unit, to produce a 3-D
model. You may choose from the following:
- A plant cell
- An animal cell
- A microscope
- A human body circulatory system
- A human body respiratory system
The criteria for these models will found on the Assignment
Criteria Page.
