New spelling words are given each Monday

For parents: the basic homework schedule for homeroom is as follows:

  • Monday- Spelling
  • Tuesday- Math
  • Wednesday- Writing
  • Thursday - math and spelling test study
  • Every evening should include at least a half hour of sustained reading.

Period 1 ...Room 32

9:00 - 9:40 am

Students have made board games. They should play these games and then provide written feedback for every game they play. They, personally, will be judged on the quality of their feedback. As the board game creator, that person should collect at least three pieces of feedback about their own game. This is the last period for playing and feedback.
Assign questions from the text. P 304, #6,7,8,9 . Unfinished work is homework.

 


Period 2 ...Room 32

English 9:40 - 10:10 am

Take up spelling definitions homework from last night. .


Period 3 ...Room 32

 

Computer Buddies 10:25 - 11:05 am

 

Normally computer buddies, we will do this when Mr. Winship returns.

Geography. Continued from yesterday. Work as far as you can in the book. Use the laptops if necessary.. Read p 190-192. Research and answer the questions on p 192, #1,2,3
Read 193-195. Define any terms written in BOLD. Answer questions on p 195, #1,2,3,4 on the chart

Period 5 and 6 ...Room 207

Please have one of the students take attendance with the blue folder, show it to you and then take it to the office.


Normally this would be workshop time, but since I am away, the students will work on their technology project. They will use computer laptops for this. The project is posted online and involves making a Podcast with a science theme. On the laptops, the student use AUDACITY. Students may also be using Garageband on the Mac computers.
