Curriculum Night is October 4th. Parents, please attend and meet your child's teachers.


New spelling words given Monday  This is week 4 of the September words.

For parents: the basic homework schedule for homeroom is as follows:

  • Monday- Spelling
  • Tuesday- Math
  • Wednesday- Writing
  • Thursday - math and spelling test study
  • Every evening should include at least a half hour of sustained reading.

9:40 - 10:20 am

Last in-class period for 205 SketchUp modeling. This assignment is posted on the Assignment page.


Period 3 ...Room 207

10:35 - 11:15 am

We will take notes about the rocket launches. This will serve as the basis for a lab report write-up.


Period 4 ...Room 32

Library
11:15 - 11:45 am

Students may hand in their writing samples for Mr. Winship. Next week, we will introduce "Smiley-face Tricks" to improve personal story writing.

Library time with Mr. Aucoin. This will include signing out new books from the Library.

 

Period 5 ...Room 32 

History 12:45 - 1:15 pm

This weekend's homework is based on the video we watched today. Thinking about Terry Fox and his incredible achievement, please write a paragraph relating this to your own experience. After watching the video or thinking about Terry and cancer Research, use one of the story prompts (or a similar one of your own) below to respond.

  • Now that I have seen this it makes me think...

Since I have your language books, for marking, please write it on a separate piece of paper. You will transfer it to your book later.
