Curriculum Night is October 4th. Parents, please attend and meet your child's teachers.


New spelling words given Monday  This is week 4 of the September words.

For parents: the basic homework schedule for homeroom is as follows:

  • Monday- Spelling
  • Tuesday- Math
  • Wednesday- Writing
  • Thursday - math and spelling test study
  • Every evening should include at least a half hour of sustained reading.

Periods 1 and 2...Room 207

9:00 - 9:40 am
9:40 - 10:20 am

Grade 8: We will begin using hydraulics and pneumatics to control levers. Students will make a simple lever controlled by hydraulic pump. In pairs, students will then make a marble maze controlled by hydraulics. This assignment is posted on the Assignment page.


 

 

Period 3 ...Room 205

10:35 - 11:15 am
11:15 - 11:45 am

A follow up lesson recording the results of the rocket launches. The Pythagoras switch will also be assigned.


Period 4 ...Room 32


11:15 - 11:45 am

Drop everything and read period. This is followed by a a writing reflection about the books you have been reading recently.


 

Period 5 ...Room 32 

12:45 - 1:15 pm

Expanded moment writing period.


 

Period 6...Planning time for Mr. Winship


Dance ...for 32
1:15 - 1:55 pm

Periods 7 and 8 ...Room 32

1:55 - 2:35 pm

Completing group math work with problem solving on charts.
