New spelling words are given each Monday

For parents: the basic homework schedule for homeroom is as follows:

  • Monday- Spelling
  • Tuesday- Math
  • Wednesday- Writing
  • Thursday - math and spelling test study
  • Every evening should include at least a half hour of sustained reading.

Geography check-in day. Geography components:

  • A list of at least eight cities you plan to visit in your trip.
  • one world map with all your cities labelled.
  • Three Cities in detail. This includes a country map showing the city place, lakes, rivers and geographical features labelled, distance travelled from your last destination.

Writing components of the book review. Writing Components:

  • One summary of the content of the book. Half page to full page.
  • One connection page showing comparison to another similar book and then to a different medium, such as a graphic novel or a movie similar to your novel.

Geography:

  • Check-in #3 is next week. Please check the assignment page to view the criteria for the components that are expected, and for the due date.
